Section 106 / Section4(f) / Environmental reviews Nominations

A remarkable array of properties qualifies for historic designation. Boathouses, water towers, parks, and hospitals are listed in the National Register of Historic Places along with opulent mansions and quaint commercial districts. Properties can also qualify as historic landmarks under local ordinances and other guidelines.

Hess Roise has successfully nominated hundreds of properties to the National Register as individual listings and historic districts. Preparing a nomination requires extensive research, thorough field survey, careful analysis, persuasive writing, and good photography. We apply the same skills to local landmark nominations, which can also be for single properties or districts.
